Work Experience: 16 years of teaching and research experience. Before joining Doon University in 2015 as visiting faculty he was working at Jammu University since 2005; prior to which he was a faculty at Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi, South Campus from 2002 till 2005. In 2001, Dr. Bhatt also worked as Project Associate with National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi where he was involved in analysis of fiscal policies of special category states and state finances of Uttar Pradesh both the studies were sponsored by Planning Commission.

Dr. Bhatt was member of Regional Direct Tax Advisory Committee, Amritsar. He also gave suggestions as non-member economist to Thirteenth Finance Commission, Government of India.

Area of Specialization: Energy Economics, Infrastructure Economics, Public Finance and Econometrics.
